Yep, I'm a braggin'

I've been sitting on this news for days, but finally the announcement has been made at ScrappinTrends, so I can toot my own horn and let you all know I took second place in the ScrappinTrends Friendship book contest held in conjunction with Crate Paper.

I was up against some awesome albums. As the second place winner I get three of the five current lines of Crate Paper and $20 to spend at the ScrappinTrends store.
But in addition to this, I will also be teaching a class on the Ya-Ya friendship book at my LSS ScrappilyEver After in the middle of July.
It was a little touch and go for a while, as I couldn't find any of the metal recipe file boxes necessary to teach the class. But my DH (who happens to be one of 10 children) has a brother who works at a retail Ben Franklin Store in St. George. The brother was able to order more than a dozen of the boxes. So now I am in business.
I have had a huge response to the class. We put the box out for display with a sign up sheet a little more than a week ago and more than 14 people have signed up to take the class. It looks like I'll be teaching more than one class.
Teaching is one of the more reliable ways of making money as a scrapper, so I am very excited to get my toe in the door.

Congrats on the contest and on the teaching gig! I love your album... it's no wonder the classes are filling up so quickly. :D

If it would be reasonable, I would fly in to take your class - it sounds THAT awesome. And the album... oh my heck - it is FANTASTIC. You, my dear, are on a creative roll. Enjoy the ride!

It's too bad I can't take the class and bring you back to teach a RS interest group. No money but lots of shock and awe (the good kind) I still get comments about the origami album you gave me several years ago. Shelly made one and it went like wildfire around the ward. I have had an idea using a geometric/origami thing, but alas I lack the talent to carry it off. Congratulations and have fun.
