Baby Steps

In an attempt to achieve my goals for 2006 I have signed up with the on-line site “Flylady.” Basically Flylady is a system designed to help women (and men, I suppose) like myself who are simply overwhelmed by all they have to do.
On the first day of Flylady, I was assigned the task of cleaning the sink. So I did it! My kitchen sink is clean, empty of dishes, even shining.
Flylady calls this the first “baby step” in the quest to conquer ~ once and for all ~ the overwhelming tasks of overcoming CHAOS (can’t have anyone over syndrome.)
As proof of my accomplishment I am posting the remarkably boring, but to me astonishing sight of my clean sink.
I’m not sure what the “baby step” is from Flyla
dy today, but for me the goal is to get the Christmas tree out of the living room.
I anticipate it will take me several days, even weeks, to get my house backing order after Christmas and several weeks of being so sick and weak I could barely function.
But at least I have a plan.

a plan is the first step to success. The house always looks so very dull after removing the Christmas shine and glitter.

Off to shine my sink. :o)

Hey, I just started doing that too! I'm hoping to have a nice, orderly house and be able to scrap (and look after the kids of course). Good luck with the next steps!

Awesome job on the sink! I am afraid to even go to the flylady website. I'm afraid that a maniacal laugh would errupt from the computer speakers and the voice would say to me, "What the heck! Woman, you don't have a hope... don't waste your time!" LOL.

Good luck with this. I'll come back and check up on your progress... and if I find you raving about how well it's going, who knows... maybe I'll even dare to go visit the site myself. ;)
