I am so, so sorry for your loss. My name is Karen, and a few years ago (around 2005-2006), I used to frequent the Two Peas Web site. That is where I remember your wife. I don't even know if I ever talked to her online, but I started reading her blog. I thought she was freaking HILARIOUS, and I loved her sense of humor! As a former reporter, I also could relate to her journalistic endeavors. And her love for her family just jumped out from her posts. I especially remember the very touching and poignant poem she shared about the loss of your baby. Two lines I keep with me: "Too soon from me taken. ... My God has not forsaken." To this day, I have not forgotten them.
Obviously, I have not checked this blog in quite some time. I have a little girl now and am no longer working full-time, and I am rarely on the Two Peas Web site. Today ... just now ... during naptime ... your wife came to mind, and I wanted to find her blog. I couldn't remember the name of it, but I did remember her SageHen screen name on Two Peas. A quick search there brought up the link.
I was so shocked and saddened to realize that she had died. I am so very sorry for your immeasurable loss. Please accept my deepest condolences.
Your wife touched many, many lives--and she lives on in you and your boys. She will be missed.
Alleen: Too soon from you taken; your God has not forsaken.
May God bless you and yours and give you peace ...and many happy memories.
"Besides the noble art of getting things done, there is a nobler art of leaving things undone... The wisdom of life consists in the elimination of nonessentials."
