Hole in the wall gang

Dh and the brothers in law have been here tearing out paneling, uncovering the hole in our wall and cleaning out all the old wood. Isn’t it lovely?
So what would you do with this hole in the wall? Brick it in and use it for a safe where we can keep all our non-existent cash?
Put a television in it?
Safe it as a hiding place for Christmas presents?
Curse the people who built it, brick it in and pretend it wasn’t there?
After cleaning out the space DH and the boys (his brothers & our sons) went back to the Hill Aerospace Museum. I did not go with them. I was planning to clean out my scrap space and get some work done. I haven’t been at all effective scrapping this month. But I don’t know if I’ll do it or just go take a nap. It’s 1:30 p.m. and I’m still in my pajamas, so the nap is sounding pretty good.
We are going to go visit Janene in her new snazzy digs for Pioneer Day. That could be fun. We also have tickets to go to Lagoon. Anyone want to name a date and join us there? DH starts back to work on Aug. 15 and he has classes during the first days of August. No doubt we will spend the rest of the time entertaining exterminators.
So, the summer is shot and I accomplished maybe two things on my “to do” list.
Have I mentioned that I hate summers?

I made this layout last week while I was scrapping with friends. Actually, my friend K made this layout because I just couldn't get it to work for me. I picked out the papers and the ribbon, and she put it together and painted it. I did the overlay, but I think I'm going to try again because I don't like the black inking on it.

I'll join you in a nap. I am out of my jammies, but only because the Elders quarom woke us up at 8:00 A.M. They made the appointment last week, so we were expecting tham. The came to do a servioce project of cleaning up or yard (yard work) and a couple of other services for us, such as setting up our DVD, cd player with our Tv and repairing a plug outlet. I still haven't seen them return to do anything. I went to bed at 6:00 a.m. I had been asleep in the chair before that, So I guess the only "service project" they accomplished was as an alarm clock! SCREAM. I think I would fill the crawl space with cement. termites do not eat that!!!

Fish Aquarium would look great in the hole in the wall! I know, I know, too much work, so put a tv in the hole and be done with it, lol! hugs, Cindy Lee

Hmm some kind of curio cabinet? You know something to fit in there, and put your fav knick knacks inside. :)

I like the nook idea if you want to go to the trouble of drywalling it, or, if it's in yourscraproom, bulletinboard or metal for magnets...also like the TV idea....maybe a really big Plasma would look nice there.

I would get one of those big canvases by Canvas Concepts and alter it with fun pattern papers and photos. Then I would hang it over the big hole in the wall and you could still keep secret stuff stashed behind it!

Put up a curtain rod and curtains and pretend it's a window. (Just for decoration)

frame it out and make it a niche to hold decoratives

The first thing I thought about this was to put your TV in there.
But now that I think about it I would make astorage shelf to put all your cool albums in there.
Or just keep it open like you said for air...LOL
Luv ya!!
Did you find anything Cool to buy me while you were at the store? {Hint, hint}

Stamp storage, or a perfect shelving system to display all of your primas in their pretty bottles? I would actually put my tv in there if it was me. jen

I think I would put shelves in and use it for storage. But if it was in my scraproom, I would still put in shelves and wouldn't it ge a great place to put alot of embellishment storage stap boxes in?? Just an idea.

I already had my nap :o). As far as the hole goes, after treatment i would cover it back over with dry wall. Frame the dry wall out and then display lo's of the week/month/holiday there.

Actually I would only use los that had pictures that would tourture my kids!

Remember the big linen closet at the ranch house that mom stored her fabric in? That's what I would do with it (after I was sure the termites and all other bugs were gone forever). There is never enough storage space and boarding it up would be a waste of good storage space. If the idea of doors in that spot is unpleasant then I guess a TV would be nice there. Note to Big Sis buy a Mumu then you never have to get dressed. Of course people may think you are eccentric (if they are kind) or lazy (if they are not). I live in my mumu in the hot old summertime and let the chips (or opinions) fall where they may. NOTE: (I'm eccentric in that good old cozy auntie kind of way) (I'm also lazy.)
